- Owner/Optometrist
Angela Gardner, O.D., is a therapeutically licensed Optometrist who has been in the area since 1998. Dr. Gardner completed undergraduate work at Binghamton University, obtaining a Biology degree while a member of the Women's Varsity Soccer Team.
Dr. Gardner is a current member of the American Optometric Society, The New York State Optometric Society, and Vision Source. She is also an active member of the Schuylerville Lions Club.
After graduation, Dr. Gardner attended SUNY State College of Optometry where she graduated with honors. Dr. Gardner then completed a residency in hospital-based optometry at Brockton/West Roxbury VA Medical Center in Massachusetts. During her time at the VAMC, Dr. Gardner gained valuable experience in caring for patients with multiple medical conditions. Dr. Gardner practices primary eye care taking care of patients from pediatrics through geriatrics managing their eye care needs with the latest technology.
Dr. Gardner completed an extensive in-person training for Neurovisual Medical Evaluations in 2022. With this training, Dr. Gardner is able to diagnose and treat Binocular Vision Dysfunction.
- Owner/Licensed Optician
Tara LaFave, a native of Saratoga Springs, NY, is a 1988 graduate of SUNY Cortland with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Following graduation, Tara continued her studies in the Optical field to become a New York State Licensed Optician in 1991.
She then furthered her career to add a certification to fit contact lenses in 2007. Shortly after, Tara entered the business side of the Optical Industry, managing several different office settings which include large optical retail stores, optical departments within private Ophthalmology offices, and smaller Optometric practices, giving her over 30 years of experience to the practice.
Tara is a member of The American Board of Opticianry, The New York State Society of Opticians, and locally has been an active member in The Schuylerville Lions Club since 2005.
Tara enjoys camping with her husband and good friends, gardening, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
